  •         We sincerely apologize about the new construction project next door, which of course is out of our control. While we have taken every measure to minizime disturbances to you on the weekends, there will likely be work happening during normal business hours (M-F about 8am-4pm).

    Occupancy
The maximum number of overnight guests for this property is limited to eight (8) persons. Maximum occupancy for this property shall not exceed 8 without the prior written consent from the manager.

    Trash + Recycling
  •         Though we understand you are on vacation, we urge and request that  you follow these instructions for trash and recycling. The city is strict and imposes fines for non-cooperation.

  •         Our weekly trash pickup is Monday at 7am, so if you are staying on a Sunday night please place collect all trash and take them outside to the curb by then. Recycling pickup is every other week according to this schedule. The recycling bin is located in the garage and must be brought out to the curb on pickup days by 7am.

  • Blinds
Most of the window blinds open and close without a pull string; you must use two hands and lift or pull gently from the center. Please be gentle! Only the large windows utilize a pull string to open and close.

  •         Coffee
  •         A coffee maker, grinder, milk frother and locally-roasted coffee beans are provided for your convenience. The manual for the coffee maker is located at the back of the binder. Excess coffee beans are in the airtight canister in the cabinet above the coffee maker (you may use these if needed or you may put your opened excess beans in there).

  • Pollen
There is a considerable about of pollen in the air from the numerous pine, oak, and cedar trees. To minimize effects, please keep ground floor windows closed while asleep at night and while away from the house. It will also help if you place the covers on the backyard patio furniture while not in use.

  • Bathrooms
The bathroom floors are pre-heated for your comfort. Please use the floor mats to avoid slipping on the tile floors. We are pleased to offer hotel-style bathroom towels, with extras located under each sink. Please use the squeegee in the shower immediately after use to prevent staining the glass doors.
  •         * We are waiting for a replacements for the upstairs shampoo dispensers. We have provided bottles of shampoo in the meantime. Please use with discretion and moderation.

    Kitchen
Glassware, dinnerware, cutlery, etc. is all provided for you. We ask that you take caution and notify us immediately if anything get damaged so we can replace it.

  •         Hot Tub
  •         The towels for the hot tub are stored under the downstairs bathroom sink. Please do not take the shower towels to the hot tub. If you want to take beverages to the hot tub you must take the plasttic drinkware located in the leftmost kitchen cupboard. Please use caution and wear shoes in the backyard for safety reasons accordingly. We ask that you sit on the edge of the hot tub and wipe your feet with a towel before climbing in so you do not track debris in there. Always have two people gently open and close the hot tub cover; it slides down on a track but has been previously broken by a renter who was too rough with it.

  •         BBQ
  •         Please clean the BBQ immediately after use, while it is still warm and easy to clean. Failure to do so will result in an additional cleaning fee. We do our best to provide propane, however between renters we may not be able to keep it always stocked.  If you run out during your stay you can refill down the street where the Holiday Market & gas station are. BBQ should be covered when not in use.

  •         Air
  •         A/C: It is not customary for homes in Lake Tahoe to have central AC, but for your comfort we have provided AC units for each bedroom. Please only use the remotes and do not touch the units themselves. The hose can easily pop off and it is very difficult to reattach.

  •         HEAT: The central heating thermostat is located at the top of the stairs. While the house can get warm between central heat and the fireplace, the upstairs master bedroom (in the right corner upstairs) tends to heat up less than the rest of the house. There are extra space heaters and blankets in the double bedroom closet you are welcome to use if needed. Please unplug/turn off the floor heaters upon check out.

  •         Children
We are happy to provide a home where children feel safe and comfortable. A high chair and a crib, as well as games and educational toys are in the closet of the dobule bedroom. We do not allow crayons or markers in the house as we have had permanent damage to other rental properties in the past.
  •         * There are also come adult games under the coffee table.

Both indoor & outdoor fireplaces are gas. During the winter months, the outdoor fireplace may be inaccessible due to snow. Campfires & outdoor fires may be prohibited in Lake Tahoe during fire season (late June - November). Please be advised of Red Flag Warnings here.

  •         Recreation
If you’re here during the week, check out Meyers Mountain Market. Tahoe Paradise Park is a beautiful family facility with plenty to do for all ages. It is 0.3 miles away or a 7 minute walk. The upper section holds Lake Baron, which provides fishing opportunities as well as calm water for paddle boarding and kayaking. Additionally, you will find the tennis courts here as well as the clubhouse and a beach for swimming (in the summer only). The lower section, along the banks of the Upper Truckee River, holds the playground, ball field, basketball court, and a large picnic area with group and individual areas and numerous hiking & mountain biking trails throughout. OVERALL SAFETY

Bear Safety
We take bear awareness and safety very seriously. It is our responsibility to remove or make the attractant inaccessible to bears to order to avoid dangerous situations.  Under no circumstance should you leave any food or food-trash in your car or garage.  Bears are very smart and know how to open vehicles if they smell food. For that reason, we ask that you do not leave any trash outside.

If you encounter a bear, never attempt to feed or approach it. Give it plenty of room to pass by.  If a bear approaches you, don’t run. Remain facing the bear and make yourself look bigger by waving your arms and yelling.  Back away slowly, keeping the bear in sight.  Make noise and show the bear that it is unwelcome. If you have children around, pick them up and put them on your shoulders.  If a bear attacks, fight back with anything possible (rocks, sticks, etc.) Signs of an attack are a steady glare, ears laid back, smacking of the jaws and stomping the front feet.

  • WINTER FYI

  • We will clear the driveway before your arrival. Please note there is no official snow clearing on our neighborhood streets, so snow tires are highly encouraged. Please be aware that the backyard stairs and the bottom of the landing can be very slick, so appropriate footwear with traction is required.

We have several shovels in the garage and on the back deck for you to use. If you need snow removal support for the driveway, you can ask our neighbor across the street Sam (530) 318-1140, and if he is not available you can ask our other neighbor Bryce (530) 206-6605. Please be prepared to pay about $100 in cash or Venmo as it is quite manual labor for them.

    WINTER SAFETY

Please wear appropriate footwear with traction. The snow can be very icy and slippery on the driveway and decks. The stairs on the back porch can be especially slippery so please use caution and hold onto the railing.

Thank you for choosing our home and we hope you have a wonderful stay!
